Biography
Originally from the Waldron FFA Chapter, I am excited and honored to be serving as your 2012-2013 Arkansas FFA State Reporter.
I will be attending the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in the fall, majoring in Biological Engineering.
In high school, I participated in Livestock Evaluation for four years, Prepared Public Speaking for three years, and Extemporaneous Public Speaking for one year. I also did a little of Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Meats Evaluation, and Parliamentary Procedure.
Outside of FFA in school, I played basketball for six years and was a member of the Beta Club and the Spanish Club.
I love my youth group at First Baptist Church of Waldron and spent the majority of my free time there. In our youth group, I was a small group leader and taught a Sunday school class for Junior High girls.
I love to swim and go to the lake in the summer. Any other time, I’m likely to be found reading or watching Phineas and Ferb. I like to listen to almost any kind of music to get in my thinking zone, and look forward to my year as a state officer.
Currently two weeks into my year of service, I have been blessed beyond measure and am so very thankful for the opportunity to play a part in the association that has impacted my life so much. Thank you, Arkansas FFA, for this opportunity. I look forward to getting to know each of you over the next few weeks and hope to see you soon!
