Arkansas FFA members demonstrated the meaning of Living to Serve during the 2026 Arkansas Leadership Conference by completing a community service project benefiting families served by the Ronald McDonald House Arkansas and North Louisiana.
A total of 463 FFA members attending the conference worked together to create 266 fleece tie-knot blankets. Arkansas FFA State Officers recently delivered 120 of those blankets to the Ronald McDonald House, where they will be used in welcome kits and provided to families as needed.
During the blanket donation, Janell Mason, CEO, shared that the organization strives to create a home-like environment for families facing medical challenges. “Ronald McDonald House becomes a true home away from home for families, a place where comfort, community, and small acts of kindness make all the difference when a child is undergoing medical treatment far from home. These blankets are a perfect example of that comfort.”, said Mason.
The service project provided Arkansas FFA members with an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing leadership and teamwork skills. Through their efforts, members embodied the FFA motto: Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, and Living to Serve.
Arkansas FFA is proud of these members for using their time and talents to serve others and support families during some of life's most difficult moments.
