  ALC Week 1 Review
By: State FFA Reporter Amie Wilcox
Sunday, July 8, 2012

This year’s Arkansas Leadership Conference is officially here!

The theme “I Believe” is all about digging deeper in to the foundations of FFA.  Each day of the conference has a different paragraph of the creed as its focus. Members learn more and more about what being an agriculturist really means.

Throughout the week, sessions are incorporated with information about what it means to be the future of agriculture, what part we as FFA members play in that future, and how to be a positive advocate for agriculture. One day is dedicated to exploring all of the possible careers in the agriculture industry and putting emphasis on the fact that agriculture isn’t just farming. Each day is filled with fun activities and team challenges along with understand the theme of ALC and the session’s purpose a little bit better.

Week one of ALC is officially in the books! A big thanks goes out to Lake Hamilton, Fountain Lake, Emerson, Smackover, Fayetteville, Cross County, Hoxie, Batesville, Waldron, Vilonia, Hermitage, Cedarville and Ozark FFA chapters for attending our first week of Arkansas Leadership Conference and making it so successful!

We can’t wait to see other members coming these next two weeks. Get ready and get excited!
