  Ag In Action
By: State FFA Secretary John Brian Kirksey
Wednesday, October 17, 2012

As the time comes closer for the Arkansas State Fair, the Arkansas FFA has been preparing for our annual Ag In Action exhibit. Each year, chapters from all across the state commit to volunteer for one day at this exhibit where they take care of a wide variety of animals ranging from miniature horses to alpacas to baby ducks, and just about everything in between. We also have a swine exhibit where FFA members assist a sow during labor. This usually results in the public asking many questions for members to answer. We also have the opportunity to inform the public about the FFA, as well as other questions concerning the animals exhibited.

This year, 11 FFA chapters will work in the Ag In Action exhibit including:
  • Guy-Perkins
  • Des Arc
  • Emerson
  • Conway
  • Lonoke
  • Prescott
  • Centerpoint
  • Wonderview
  • Cotter
  • Paris
  • Wynne
These chapters would love to see a lot of FFA members come out to the Arkansas State Fair and view the Ag In Action exhibit. When you visit, introduce yourselves as a fellow member! See you there!
