Brooklyn Johnson, Quitman FFA

Letter To Members
Greetings!

I’m Brooklyn Johnson from the Quitman FFA Chapter. I’d like to introduce myself and let you know that I will be running for state office at the 93rd Arkansas FFA Convention! I am so excited about this opportunity and hope that after you have read through my qualifications you and your chapter will support me.

When I first mentioned running for a state office to my past advisor, the first thing he said was, “What is your why?” I looked at him and said, “I want people to grow to be as fond of this organization as I have. I want people to truly LOVE FFA as much as I do! Encouraging members to inform others about American Agriculture is something that FFA has prepared me for, and I would be honored to serve the blue and gold as other leaders have served before me.”

I believe that a good state officer not only knows their why but has prepared for it. I am including a list of the things that I have done to prepare for being a state leader. I have grown as a member, one who can encourage the growth of others across our state and nation, because of the following FFA experiences:

Conferences: Washington Leadership Conference, Chapter President’s Conference, Arkansas Leadership Conference, 360, and IMPACT
Convention & Convention Involvement: Arkansas FFA State Convention, State Nominating Committee 2019, and National FFA Convention
Chapter Involvement: Show team (swine), Conduct of a Chapter Meeting, Parliamentary Procedures, Extemporaneous Speaking, Prepared Speaking, Equine Evaluation CDE, Milk Quality & Products CDE, Chapter Reporter 2018-2019, Chapter VP 2019-2020
SAE: Agri Sales Placement at Calico Trailers Manufacturing Company & Beef Production

I am planning to study Agricultural Communications at Arkansas Tech this coming fall, and I will continue to work with my family’s agricultural business and farm. FFA has led me to these future plans. Therefore, I am asking to be a part of your future FFA plans--won’t you and your chapter support me as I run for state office?

Sincerely,

Brooklyn Johnson Quitman FFA
